Kindlelab Project
Richard White leads all Kindlelab team development and design projects. Rich is a leader in the field of immersive education with advanced technical knowledge of hardware and software solutions as well as possessing a deep understanding of the taxonomies and pedagogies of using 3D virtual worlds in the K-12 educational setting. Having coined the terms ''Mobile Immersive Learning Labs'' and ''Quick Cave'' to describe highly immersive physical learning spaces for 3D virtual worlds in the K-12 educational setting and ''3D Immersive Touch'' to describe the learning process of directly manipulating 3D virtual learning objects using interactive surfaces (read more about Edusim) , Richard recognizes the importance of not only software but also hardware considerations as they relate to 3D virtual worlds and immersive environments in the K-12 setting.
As a result of Richard's work as a solutions architect with immersive touch in 3D virtual environments on interactive surfaces for learning, several organizations world wide have deployed systems based on his designs, developments, and ''immersive touch'' concepts. Some of these organizations include Texas A & M, The Florida Aquarium, Interknowlogy and the Norrkoping Visualization Center.
Richard has also instructed and worked on design projects with such organizations as Polyvision, Smart Technologies, Appalachian State University, Duke University, Tulane University, Boston College, The Cobalt Consortium, and the Grid Institutes Immersive Education Project
